Review by hotel critic
I recently spent a delightful weekend at Het Geheim Van Merselo, and it felt like a cozy retreat straight out of a storybook. The apartment was warm and comfortable, featuring all the essentials, including a well-equipped kitchen and a flat-screen TV for those Netflix nights with friends. The highlight was definitely the continental breakfast, which not only offered a great selection but also included the freshest eggs from the owners' hens—a special touch that made it all the more enjoyable! The hosts were incredibly friendly, helping us feel completely relaxed from the moment we arrived. We spent our mornings in the lovely garden, sipping tea from the electric kettle and soaking in the tranquility of this rural gem, just a short drive away from Venray's bustling shops and restaurants. If you're looking for a peaceful getaway with an intimate, homey vibe, I can’t recommend Het Geheim Van Merselo enough!
